One Dark Night [a.k.a. Night Club Girl] (1939) [Lost Film]

Mantan Moreland plays a lazy and shiftless father of two children who lets his wife support the family. He is continually insulted and annoyed by his in-laws who lives with him, and finally he does a disappearing act. Meanwhile, life goes on as usual, with an old suitor trying to marry Moreland's wife when it is believed he is dead. However, Moreland discovers a radium mine in his wanderings on the desert. Later he returns home, scares off his rival, buys a local nightclub, dresses up his family and all is forgiven.
